There were many instances and moments during my college career that led me to City Year Columbus. Most of my time spent at The Ohio State University was devoted to service. I was a board member of Habitat for Humanity at OSU where I not only worked in the Columbus area, but also building houses in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras. I realized during my last years at OSU, that my life would have to take a path in the Non-Profit arena in some way or another. City Year was finally an avenue I could venture into that encompassed my passion for Non-Profit work, the belief that youth can change the world, and my commitment to service all in one.

STAR Awards:

The Ohio Community Service Council's STAR Award, established in 2006, honors individuals, groups and/or organizations whose efforts have impacted volunteerism and service across Ohio. The Star Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Ohio Community Service Council, the state agency for volunteerism and community service.
