Research Funding
CAES provides seed money for exploratory research projects.
This program fosters collaboration between INL scientists and university faculty. Together, they can pursue cutting-edge research that will help build sustainable programs at CAES and solve real-world energy problems.
CAES has invested more than $3 million in collaborative, exploratory research since FY08. A CAES/Idaho State University project on precision nanoparticles led to the signing of a $3.1 million cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) with a private company based in Idaho Falls.
