Commander - Rear Admiral C. Forrest Faison III

A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Rear Admiral Faison received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Wake Forest University and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed post-graduate training in General Pediatrics at Naval Hospital San Diego and fellowship training in Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics at the University of Washington. He is board certified in Pediatrics and has several publications on neurodevelopmental outcome of premature infants. He is a senior member of the American College of Physician Executives and is currently enrolled in the Master’s of Medical Management Program at the Carnegie-Mellon Institute....  MORE

Deputy Commanding Officer - NMCSD Deputy Commander - Captain Mark Kobelja

Captain Kobelja assumed the duties as Deputy Commander, Naval Medical Center San Diego in July 2011. He is a native of Milwaukee Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Spring Hill College in 1987 and his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1996. His post graduate training included a Surgery internship and Anesthesiology residency at NNMC and a Pain Medicine fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. MORE

Command Master Chief Yenhung Duberek is a native of Taiwan. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy on 28 December 1982 at Levittown, NY and attended recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Il. Graduating on September 13, 1983. After basic training he reported as a non-designated Seaman to the USS MERRILL (DD 976), home ported in San Diego, Cal.
