Care is provided in the framework of small group practices and is focused on providing state of the art care with continuity providers in a family-centered environment. Women experiencing normal pregnancies and those of childbearing age requiring routine GYN care may elect to receive care by nurse midwives. All pregnant women experiencing a normal pregnancy follow a 9-visit prenatal care pathway. In addition, NMCSD is proud to offer perinatology and high-risk obstetrical services to those families experiencing complications of pregnancy or requiring prenatal genetic counseling and diagnosis. Women who have completed 32 weeks of pregnancy are eligible for a Stork Parking Pass, which enables them to park close to the clinic. Prenatal care is available at the Naval Medical Center, (619) 532-7000; at MCAS Miramar, (858) 577-6740; and at Naval Training Center (619) 524-6195.
