Overview
Today’s competition to sustain revenue and public support for pretrial programs in opposition to bail programs or other services calls for extensive training that enhances the effectiveness of pretrial executives in maintaining and capitalizing existing services. NIC’s Orientation for New Pretrial Executives offers such training and includes highlights from the pretrial standards of the National Association of Pretrial Service Agencies to offer a well rounded course addressing the unique challenges that pretrial executives face. Together, these tools comprise the essential foundation of knowledge and skills that will be most beneficial in navigating today’s political and administrative environment.
This 40 hour course also focuses on networking among attendees and pretrial professionals. Participants are encouraged to engage in problem solving through peer interaction and discussion with faculty.
Audience
Pretrial release agency professionals with decision making responsibilities and who have a minimum of one year of experience in a high level management position may apply.
