On Friday, September 9, Secretary Clinton and other dignitaries attended the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange to remember the victims of 9/11, their families and loved ones, and those who selflessly aided the rescue and recovery effort.
The ceremony began with a one-minute moment of silence, followed by former U.S. Marine Corps Major Rose-Ann L. Lynch singing "God Bless America." The guests at the Opening Bell, who were also in attendence at the 9/17/2001 Opening Bell (the first day of trading after 9/11) included:
