Acquisition Solutions for Management and Operational Consulting
Sometimes key personnel do not have the time or resources to get the job done. Now federal agencies can turn to management and operational consultants offering a wide arena of services. GSA's multiple awards schedule (MAS) program provides access to highly qualified contractors in business integrated services; finance; advertising and marketing services; human resources (HR) and equal employment opportunity (EEO) services; comprehensive furniture management services; facilities maintenance and management; and office imaging and document solutions and logistics.*
FINANCIAL AND BUSINESS SOLUTIONS (FABS)
Today's government financial managers are challenged to provide more financial information than ever before - with fewer staff to do the work. GSA's Financial and Business Solutions (FABS) can provide financial solutions through auditing, financial management, financial asset, and business information and credit-monitoring services.
ADVERTISING AND INTEGRATED MARKETING SOLUTIONS (AIMS)
With emphasis on downsizing government, agencies must now do more work with fewer resources, while still keeping the public informed. GSA's AIMS connects federal agencies with quality communication and marketing contractors, allowing agencies to focus on their critical missions. Available services include advertising, public and media relations, marketing, event and tradeshow planning, web 2.0 tasks, and integrated services.
OFFICE IMAGING AND DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS
Federal agencies can choose from among the latest technologies in office imaging, document management, and mail management. GSA can connect agencies with digital and engineering copiers as well as firms that offer that can help with metering, date and time stamps, and integrated systems. Also available are mailroom ergonomic analysis, needs-assessment services, and document-conversion services.
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Some federal agencies require complete facilities maintenance or management support while others need specialized services such as energy audits, water conservation efforts, pest control management, or even tree planting. Whether the mission is large or small, GSA can help. Service offerings include electrical and utility repair, elevator and escalator inspection and maintenance, fire alarm and fire suppression systems maintenance, and HVAC maintenance.
GSA’s logistics services assist federal agencies with procuring comprehensive logistics solutions from planning and obtaining supplies and equipment through operational management and support. GSA provides training in systems operations, inventory management, and distribution and transportation management. Turnkey systems are available as are minor repair-and-alteration services.
ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES
Agencies can easily acquire engineering solutions in the mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, aerospace, nuclear, and bioengineering disciplines using GSA's Professional Engineering Services (PES) MAS.
LANGUAGE MANAGEMENT AND CONSULTING SERVICES
GSA MAS offers translation and interpretation services (from basic transcribing to advanced analytical consulting) in a vast number of tongues, including sign language. Agencies can also procure Comprehensive Linguistic Analytical Support Services (CLASS) in support of local, national, and global missions.
SECURITY MANAGEMENT AND CONSULTING
Upgrading security is serious business. GSA MAS contractors can provide protection on land or at sea, help fight fires, or provide assistance in freezing temperatures. In addition, GSA can help in managing smart cards and certificates, and complying with HSPD-12 and Classified and Sensitive but Unclassified information requirements.
MISSION ORIENTED BUSINESS INTEGRATED SERVICES (MOBIS)
Contractors available under MOBIS can help federal agencies respond to a continual stream of mandates and evolutionary influence such as: the President's Management Agenda; Government Performance and Results Act; Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act; OMB Circular A-76; Federal Activities Inventory Reform Act; and government reinvention initiatives such as benchmarking and streamlining. Through MOBIS, experienced contractors can help improve performance and accomplish mission goals through the use of specialized consulting and training services, facilitation, surveys, competitive sourcing, and project management.
GSA's Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70 provides federal agencies with direct access to commercial consulting experts knowledgeable about hardware, software, and IT services. MAS can also help with commercial satellite communications (COMSATCOM) transponded capacity and subscription services, public key infrastructure (PKI), Shared Service Provider (SSP) programs, and HSPD-12 products and services.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND CONSULTING SERVICES
Complying with federal environmental mandates and executive orders can be a challenge. Consultants through GSA's Environmental Services MAS can help with energy management, hazardous waste disposal, water conservation, remediation, and energy choice analysis.
COMPREHENSIVE FURNITURE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Most federal agencies know to turn to GSA for furniture and furnishings. But GSA also provides furniture and renovation-related consulting services, which are administered independently from the product. These options include reconfiguration and relocation management, maintenance (including restoring, repairing, and reupholstering), interior design, and asset management (such as warehousing, computer-aided facilities management or CAFM, and inventory services).
HUMAN RESOURCERS (HR) AND EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO)
From security screening and high end background investigation and credit check services, to social services, family and personal counseling and specialized Veterans' readjustment counseling, GSA helps with all HR and EEO consulting needs. Options include HR-specific services (such as planning, training, and employee relations) as well as assistance with EEO issues (such as investigation of discrimination complaints, preparation of reports of investigation, and alternative dispute resolution). GSA also offers pre-employment screening and background investigation services and a full range of social services.
