$1 Coin Events
Which Presidential $1 Coin has been released most recently? In November, it was the coin that bears the portrait of Abraham Lincoln.
The United States Mint launched the coin with a ceremony at President Lincoln's Cottage on the grounds of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C. The event took place in the same month that Lincoln won election 150 years ago, which made him the 16th President of the United States.
This coin is number 16 in the Presidential $1 Coin Program. Read more about President Lincoln on the coin's Presidential $1 Coin page. and as November's Coin of the Month. 2011's releases will begin with the next one, the Andrew Johnson Presidential $1 Coin.

This Little Piggy Gets Bigger
Do you recognize the happy purple pig in the picture? You should, if you've ever played "Break the Bank." In this game, as you answer the true-or-false coin questions correctly, coins fill the pig almost to the breaking point...but the actual breaking is up to you, using the tool of your choice.
Well, this little piggy is getting bigger in other ways this year. "Break the Bank" is growing with a new look and a whole lot more questions for you to play with. If you know the old questions by heart (which is a good thing), you now have an expanded challenge. You still get seven questions at a time, but they are drawn from a bank of questions and presented randomly. That way, every time you play, the questions are different.
So keep your eye out for the new version of Break the Bank on the Games page. Test yourself with the new questions and exercise your mad saving skillz!

Quarters of the Quarter: Gettysburg National Military Park
Quarter number 6 in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program honors Gettysburg National Military Park.
This park is the site of the famous Battle of Gettysburg, a turning point in the American Civil War. Visitors to the battlefield can see many monuments to divisions of soldiers, and each is located near the place where the division's major events happened.
The monument on this coin is no exception. In fact, what happened here might have changed the outcome of the entire battle! Read more about the coin, the battle, and the monument on the Gettysburg National Military Park quarter page and in January's Coin of the Month.
