ANNOTATION: Sustainability does not always need to involve a grandiose setting. It can also be on a smaller scale—one inmate at a time. The Insight Garden Program (IGP) at San Quentin “provides rehabilitation to self-selected prisoners through the process of organic gardening.” IGP teaches participants about landscaping and gardening, providing skills they can use on release from prison.
