Twelfth Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Science Team Meeting

The implementation and use of a collection of web-based tools for IOP administration tasks and IOP Questionnaire management is presented. These tools have been developed to assist with procedures established by the ARM Program Office for proposing, planning, executing, and closing out Intensive Operational Periods (IOPs), and to assist with the tasks associated with IOP Questionnaire management and review by CART Site Program Managers, Operations Managers and staff. The system is designed to track an IOP from inception through planning, execution and final data delivery in a uniform way across all CART sites, but allow for customizations specific to each site. It is built on common, proven web-application tools and existing ARM Information Architecture. The data are kept in a Sybase DB and the user interface uses mostly perl CGI-scripts with some javascript. The main emphasis in the design of the interface was simplicity and functionality. The live system will be demonstrated at the meeting.
