Why are genes not evenly distributed?
     Shawn Burgess, Ph.D.: I currently study developmental processes and their relation to human genetic disease. While the uneven distribution has been known for a long time, the reasons for gene clustering are not understood. It is likely to serve an important function, but that has yet to be discovered.
