If someone has a genetic disorder, is it possible to fix that disorder,or are scientists studying how t do that at all?      Donna Krasnewich, M.D., Ph.D.: I am knowledgeable in diseases resulting from abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates. Many scientists are working on ways to cure genetic diseases through many different approaches such as gene therapy. There are a growing number of genetic based diseases that can now be cured! Peru High School in IN (11th grade student)
