More Than a Playground Exercise
Army

A recruit tackles the monkey bars in the middle of an obstacle course. Basic Training exercises are designed to help recruits get in peak physical shape.

It is advisable for recruits to begin a fitness program before shipping to Basic Training. A suitable exercise program will cover strength, flexibility and cardio, and recruits training on their own should make sure to include warm-ups and cool-downs in their workouts.
