Exhibits

The National Archives Building in downtown Washington, DC, contains the permanent exhibit of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence, known together as the Charters of Freedom.

A new exhibit called the Public Vaults displays over 1,000 fascinating records (originals or reproductions) from the National Archives holdings.

Fall & Winter Seasons (Day after Labor Day through March 14)
Daily 10:00 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
Closed Thanksgiving Day and December 25

Spring & Summer Season (March 15 - Labor Day)
Daily 10:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.

The National Archives Building in College Park, Maryland has several public research rooms, with records including:

The Office of the Federal Register (OFR) in Washington, DC, provides access to the official text of:

We also administer the Electoral College and the Constitutional Amendment process.
