Post Award Activities

Phase I/IB Reporting Requirements – All reports must be prepared in FastLane. A Phase I Final Report must be submitted within 15 days following the expiration of the grant.

Phase II/IIB Reporting Requirements – Phase II grantees must submit Interim Progress Reports, and a Phase II/IIB Final Report. All reports are submitted electronically via FastLane. Interim reports must be submitted within 30 days after each six month period. The Phase II Final Report is required to be submitted 90 days following the expiration of the grant. Final payments will not be made and pending future proposals will not be processed until all final reporting requirements are satisfied. No-cost extensions do not change the requirement for six month interim reports.

Award Guidelines - Information on Phase I and Phase II proposals once they have been recommended by the NSF Program Director.

No Cost Extension Requirements – Occasionally a project requires additional time to complete the tasks; if it is necessary to extend a project, a no cost extension may be requested. Please note, a no cost extension will disqualify a company from many of the supplemental opportunities. Consult a Program Director after reviewing the requirements.

PI Change Requirements – Changing a PI requires agreement from the managing Program Director. Email the Program Director a brief explanation for the change, accompanied by the proposed PI’s CV. Once the Program Director agrees to the PI Change, the formal request may be performed.
