Young people can find themselves in situations that may land them in federal court dealing with new legal issues that touch on social media; downloading music and movies; house parties; driving behavior, including texting while driving; house parties, and cell phones.  These classroom and courtroom activities, which support social studies standards, do not give legal advice but raise awareness of true-to-life situations that present legal questions.  The scenarios are based on recent Supreme Court cases and teach students about precedent and the role of the courts.
