About Us
The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation (BSDPF) was founded in 1995 as a nonprofit 501(c)3 by Louis Bachmann(1916-2000) and Bonnie Strauss. The Foundation was started to encourage new research and scientists in the fields of dystonia and Parkinson disease, and to heighten awareness about the diseases. (Read More)

Dystonia Call for Action Day Such a Success!!
Mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg proclaimed June 18th "Dystonia Call for Action Day". The 24 hour social media campaign, Calling For Action against dystonia was a tremendous success causing thousands and thousands of people posting and tweeting about dystonia. Thank you to everyone who participated and looking forward to next year!!!

Researchers Need You!
