SPECIAL TTB EXPO EDITION
TTB's first Expo, held in June 2008, was a resounding success so we are following it up with another Expo in 2009. TTB Expo 2009 will be held June 24 - 26, 2009 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Kentucky, just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Expo is an educational and networking event aimed at anyone who works in or with the alcohol, tobacco, firearms and ammunition industries. The theme for TTB Expo 2009 is Compliance through Education, which highlights a very prominent philosophy of TTB. Our goal is to help regulated industry members understand all the rules and regulations in order to promote voluntary compliance.
At our last Expo, we collected feedback surveys to determine if we met the attendees' expectations and to help us plan for future Expos. The surveys showed that the vast majority of respondents were very pleased with the Expo, and that almost all of the respondents would come again if we held another expo. But the surveys also gave us some specific ideas for making our next Expo an even better event. We want you to know that we listened to your suggestions and we are adopting many of them for TTB Expo 2009.
Primarily, we've added a third day to TTB Expo 2009. This will allow us to expand on the sessions that we presented last time, adding more detail and allowing more time for questions. We plan to offer several new sessions that will provide detailed information on single topics, many of which we selected from the feedback surveys. We are also going to have more Expo booths staffed by subject matter experts from TTB and other government agencies and offer the opportunity for attendees to meet one-on-one with TTB staff members to discuss any questions you may have about your particular business operations.
We recently launched the TTB Expo 2009 Web pages, which are your best source for staying up to date with the plans for the Expo. Over the coming months we will add more information about the sessions and exhibition booths, and we will open the online registration.
