Build Capacity to Make Lasting Change
November is National Adoption Month, a time to raise awareness about the adoption of children and youth from foster care. This year's initiative focuses on building capacity of adoption professionals to recruit and retain parents for the 107,000 children and youth waiting for permanent families in the U.S. foster care system. View the 2011 National Adoption Month poster in English and Spanish as well as other materials on this website to learn how you can take action all year to benefit children in foster care waiting for permanent families.
