Video
To give our users the widest range of accessibility options, Child Welfare Information Gateway offers video content in several formats with captions and descriptive narration.
Captions are on-screen text versions of the words spoken in the video. They are intended primarily for those who cannot hear audio, but may also be helpful for those who do not have access to audio or may not be fluent in the language.
Audio descriptions use narration to describe the action in the video for users with visual disabilities.
The videos on Child Welfare Information Gateway can be turned on or off with a toggle, depending on which viewer you are using for playback.
Other available formats are Windows Media (WMV), QuickTime (MOV), and Flash (FLV).
