Christian Long is a CNST/UMD Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nanofabrication Research Group. He received a B.S. and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland, College Park. His doctoral research focused on developing novel scanning probe microscopy techniques and on developing new methods to analyze data from combinatorial materials experiments. Christian is working with Rachel Cannara to characterize friction on the nanometer length scale using a combination of atomic force microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. Selected Publications:
