Mail Management Overview
GSA helps agencies make a difference in mail center operations, policy, security, and best practices. These efforts involve:
- Assist in the development of agency policy and guidance in mail management and mail operations
- Develop and provide access to a Governmentwide management information system for mail
- Establish, develop and maintain interagency mail committees
- Identify better business practices and share them with all federal agencies
- Help agencies develop performance measures and management information systems for mail
- Host a website for mail management policy
- Maintain a current list of agency mail managers
- Serve as a liaison for federal agencies to USPS and all mail service providers at the national level
- Serve as a point of contact for all mail issues
