In response to the President's Executive Order of December 14, 2005 (Improving Agency Disclosure of Information), the FDIC has designated a Chief Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer. FOIA Public Liaison

In further response to the aforementioned Executive Order, the Chief FOIA Officer has designated the FDIC Ombudsman as the FOIA Public Liaison.  The FOIA Public Liaison serves as a supervisory official to whom a FOIA requester can raise concerns about the service received from the FDIC's FOIA/Privacy Act Group.  The FOIA Public Liaison is FDIC Ombudsman Cottrell L.
