Aerospace Industries Association of America, Inc. (AIA)
The Aerospace Industries Association represents the nations major manufacturers of commercial  military and business aircraft  helicopters  aircraft engines  missiles  spacecraft  materiels  and related components and equipment. AIAs National Aerospace Standards represent the largest body of trade association standards in the U.S. AIA publishes two newsletters AIA UPDATE and THE SUPPLIERS VOICE  and an annual data book which provides key statistical information to the aerospace industry.

American Management Association (AMA)
AMA is a global not-for-profit  membership-based association that provides a full range of management development and educational services to individuals  companies and government agencies worldwide  including 486 of the Fortune 500 companies. Each year  thousands of business professionals acquire the latest business know-how  valuable insights and increased confidence at AMA seminars  conferences  current issues forums and briefings  as well as through AMA books and publications  research and print and online self-study courses.
American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
American National Standards Institute is a private  non-profit organization (501(c) 3) that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system. The Institutes mission is to enhance both the global competitiveness of U.S. business and the U.S. quality of life by promoting and facilitating voluntary consensus standards and conformity assessment systems  and safeguarding their integrity. ANSI publishes several publications - ANSI Report quarterly publication. ANSI Insider monthly and the Standard Action bi-weekly
American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS)
APICS  The Educational Society for Resource Management is a not-for-profit international educational organization respected throughout the world for its education and professional certification programs. APICS certification programs  training tools  and networking opportunities increase workplace performance. APICS offers several certification programs. APICS -The Performance Advantage is published monthly.
American Society for Quality (ASQ)
The American Society for Quality (ASQ) has been the leading quality improvement organization in the United States for more than 50 years. Its members have initiated most of the quality methods used throughout the world  including statistical process control  quality cost measurement and control  total quality management  failure analysis  and zero defects. ASQ conducts professional certification programs in ten different areas of expertise including quality engineers  quality managers  and software engineers. ASQs monthly Quality Progress magazine covers the latest developments in the quality field.
American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International
American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International is a not-for-profit organization that provides a global forum for the development and publication of voluntary consensus standards for materials  products  systems  and services. ASTM standards serve as the basis for manufacturing  procurement  and regulatory activities. Formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials  ASTM International provides standards that are accepted and used in research and development  product testing  quality systems  and commercial transactions around the globe.
American Society of Transportation & Logistics (ASTL)
American Society of Transportation & Logistics (AST&L) is a professional organization founded by a group of industry leaders to insure a high level of professionalism and promote continuing education in the field of transportation and logistics. AST&Ls mission is to establish  promote  and maintain high standards of knowledge and professional training; formulate a code of ethics for the profession; advance the professional interests of members of the organization; serve as a source of information and guidance for the fields of traffic and transportation  logistics  and physical distribution management; and serve the industry as a whole by fostering professional accomplishments. AST&L manages a certification program for logisticians and publishes quarterly the Transportation Journal.
Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE)
Since 1956  AACE International  the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering  has provided its members with the resources they need to enhance their performance and ensure continued growth and success. With about 5 500 members world-wide  AACE International serves cost management professionals: cost managers and engineers  project managers  planners and schedulers  estimators and bidders  and value engineers. AACE International has members in 78 countries and currently includes 70 local sections.
Council of Logistics Management (CLM)
The Council of Logistics Management is a not-for-profit worldwide professional association for people interested in logistics management. CLM provides opportunities for logistics professionals to communicate to develop and improve logistics management skills. CLM adds to the knowledge base of logistics theory and practice and creates awareness of the significance of logistics to business and to the economy. The Journal of Business Logistics provides a forum for the dissemination of original thoughts  research  and best practices within the logistics and supply chain arenas.

Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA)
Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA) is a trade association made up of nearly 600 companies in the USA and around the world that make  sell  distribute  specify  service  and use on-site power equipment. EGSA is the worlds largest organization that focuses on the entire on-site power generation industry. This includes the manufacture  sale  distribution  and use of a broad range of products and services  such as generators  engines  switchgear  controls  voltage regulators  governors  enclosures  generator sets  and fuel cells. Powerline magazine is EGSAs flagship publication and is published bi-monthly.
Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA)
The Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) is a national trade organization that includes the full spectrum of U.S. manufacturers  representing more than 80% of the $550 billion electronics industry. The Alliance is a partnership of electronic and high-tech associations and companies whose mission is promoting the market development and competitiveness of the U.S. high-tech industry through domestic and international policy efforts.
Federally Employed Women (FEW)
FEW is a private  non-profit organization founded in 1969 shortly after government issued Executive Order 11375 which added sex-discrimination to the list of prohibited discrimination within the Federal Government. Although E.O. 11375 was an important milestone  several women were concerned that the Civil Service Commission and individual agencies may not put forth the vigorous effort necessary to ensure compliance with E.O. 11375. Although the Federal Womens Program (FWP) had been established  the early organizers of FEW realized that the government could dismantle FWP  and they wanted to ensure that there would always be an organization dedicated to promoting equality for women and addressing concerns of women in the Federal workforce. Additionally  because FWP is a government function  it is limited in its political scope  and cannot lobby Congress. As a private organization  FEW may lobby Congress.
Institute for Interconnecting & Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC)
The Institute for Interconnecting and Packaging Electronic Circuits (IPC) is a United States-based trade association dedicated to furthering the competitive excellence and financial success of its members worldwide  who are participants in the electronic interconnect industry. IPC provides the latest information on the design  fabrication  and assembly of printed wiring boards (PWBs) and printed wiring assemblies (PWAs)  as well as environmental  regulatory  and legislative aspects impacting these industries. IPC provides resources to management improvement and technology enhancement programs  the creation of relevant standards  protection of the environment  and pertinent government relations.
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
The IEEE (Eye-triple-E) is a non-profit  technical professional association of more than 377 000 individual members in 150 countries. IEEE is a leading authority in technical areas ranging from computer engineering  biomedical technology and telecommunications  to electric power  aerospace and consumer electronics  among others. IEEE publishes more than 100 of the leading journals in computing  telecommunications  power and dozens of other disciplines.
Institute of Environmental Science & Technology (IEST)
The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology  a not-for-profit association  is an international professional society that serves members and the industries they represent through education and the development of recommended practices and standards. IEST is a multidisciplinary  international society whose members are internationally recognized for their contributions to the environmental sciences in the areas of contamination control in electronics manufacturing and pharmaceutical processes; design  test  and evaluation of commercial and military equipment; and product reliability issues associated with commercial and military systems.
Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE)
IIE is the worlds largest professional membership society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial engineering profession and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity.
Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust)
The Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) is the largest and most diverse engineering association in Australia  with approximately 60 000 members. The Institution promotes and advances the science and practice of engineering to ensure that the community is well served by its engineering resources. It encourages the sustainable development of Australias technological capacity so that the engineering contribution to economic growth of the nation is maximized. The Institution provides a wide range of benefits  facilities and services to help members achieve their personal and professional goals.
International Association for Continuing Education and Training
The International Association for Continuing Education and Training is a non- profit association dedicated to quality continuing education and training programs. IACET authorizes education providers that meet strict continuing education guidelines created in 1968. IACET certification is the standard learners seek for quality. IACETs Criteria and Guidelines are the core of thousands of educational programs worldwide.
International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE)
The International Council on Systems Engineering is a not-for-profit membership organization founded in 1990. INCOSE is an international authoritative body promoting the application of an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable the realization of successful systems.
Logistics Officer Association (LOA)
Founded as the Maintenance Officer Association 1982. Comprised of over 1 400 military officers and civilians in logistics fields worldwide. The LOAs purpose is to enhance the military logistics profession. LOA provides an open forum to promote quality logistical support and logistics officer professional development. Conducts annual conference and publishes quarterly journal The Exceptional Release.
LOGTECH
The primary mission of the Center of Excellence in Logistics and Technology (LOGTECH) is to leverage global best practices and explore leading-edge logistics technologies to prepare DoD logisticians for advances that will drive Logistics and its supporting technologies in the future. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill  LOGTECH has developed and offers two distinct executive education programs for military  DoD and private sector personnel. The LOGTECH executive education programs are designed for military  industry and technology leaders in logistics and supply chain management to develop and improve their knowledge  decision-making processes  collaborative skills and networking facilities.
National Contract Management Association (NCMA)
NCMA is a non-profit professional association for professional development for the practice of contract management. Contract management is a strategic management discipline employed by both buyers and sellers whose objectives are to manage customer and supplier expectations and relationships  control risk and cost  and contribute to organizational profitability/success. Chapters are located in most major cites in the United States and around the world. NCMA publishes the Contract Management Magazine and has an on-line training center.
National Defense Industries Association (NDIA)
NDIA is a non-partisan  non-profit international association whose mission is to provide a legal and ethical forum for the interchange of ideas between the government and industry to resolve industrial problems of joint concern. Primary areas of interest are the business and technical aspects of the government-industry relationship  encompassing government policies and practices in the entire acquisition process  including research and development  procurement  logistics support  and many technical areas. The associations membership base consists of 950 companies and 24 000 individuals from the entire spectrum of the defense and national industrial bases  from government and from foreign nations with whom the United States  through DoD  has a Memorandum of Understanding. Publications include National Defense Magazine.
National Property Management Association (NPMA)
The NPMA is a non-profit  professional association dedicated to cost-effective management of personal property in the public and private sectors. The phrase "personal property" is associated with durable and moveable property as opposed to "real property" (real estate). We are committed to building leadership through training  certification and educational opportunities.
Project Management Institute (PMI)
With over 100 000 members worldwide  PMI is the leading nonprofit professional association in the area of Project Management.
Reliability, Maintainability, and Supportability (RMS) Partnership
The Reliability  Maintainability  and Supportability Partnership (RMS/P) organizations goal is to enhance communication  coordination and collaboration between industry and government in a manner that will encourage individuals and organizations to adopt an integrated systems engineering approach  or end-to-end management approach  when addressing RMS issues. The RMS Partnership also encourages individuals  professional societies  and industry associations to develop  use and maintain world-class RMS non-government standards. The RMS Partnership publishes a quarterly newsletter that is freely available on the Web site. Membership in the RMS Partnership is open to individuals and organizations interested in being on the cutting edge of RMS issues and initiatives both nationally and internationally.
Society for Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is the worlds leading professional society supporting manufacturing education. Through its member programs  publications  expositions  and professional development resources. SME promotes an increased awareness of manufacturing engineering and helps keep manufacturing professionals up to date on leading trends and technologies. SME publications include Manufacturing Engineering  Forming & Fabricating  Journal of Manufacturing Systems  and Journal of Manufacturing Processes.
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
The Society of Automotive Engineers is a resource for technical information and expertise used in designing  building  maintaining  and operating self-propelled vehicles for use on land or sea  in air or space. SAE International serves its primary constituents in many ways. SAE publishes several globally recognized magazines  Automotive Engineering International  Aerospace Engineering  and Off Highway Engineering.
Society of Logistics Engineers (SOLE)
Society of Logistics Engineers is a non-profit international professional society founded in 1966. Organized "to engage in educational  scientific  and literary endeavors to advance the art of logistics technology and management." SOLE administers Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) program  conducts international conferences and publishes bimonthly journal Logistics Spectrum. Over 90 SOLE chapters in more than 50 countries conduct technical meetings  symposia and workshops.
Society of Reliability Engineers (SRE)
The Society of Reliability Engineers (SRE) represents all facets of reliability serving all branches of industry and government. Integrating economic and social considerations with design  operation  and maintenance to insure reliable and safe operating systems is essential. The SRE mission is to:
- Provide a forum for individuals and industry interested in reliability in all aspects.
- Promote the professional development of the reliability discipline through increases of knowledge and interchange of information.
- Serve as a focal point for individuals and companies seeking to enhance their reliability knowledge.
- Facilitate mutual understanding and working relationships among the diverse activities concerned with reliability.
- Provide leadership  technology  and education related to reliability.
- Support economic strength through the reliability sciences.
The Society for Electronic Access (SEA)
SEA works to educate people about computer networks and how to use them to find information and to communicate with one another. We will also reach out to foster better understanding of cyberspace and to ensure that individual rights are fully respected in this new medium  as befits a democratic society. Finally  we will do our best to bring into cyberspace those who might not otherwise have the opportunity or awareness to make use of it  in the belief
that doing so will enrich our lives as well as theirs.
Women in Science & Engineering (WISE)
The Women in Science and Engineering Program seeks to increase the number of women in science  math and engineering fields through outreach  recruitment and retention efforts. Combining the vast resources of a major university with the close bonds of a small community  the WISE College Program enables undergraduate women to work closely with peers and faculty to form friendships and to achieve a solid background in their field. The WISE Precollege Program reaches out to local schools to inspire young women to choose to pursue science math and engineering degrees.
