PMI Event Preparedness Update
Human cases of H1N1 Influenza A (swine flu), a viral infection in pigs, have been identified in Mexico, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, New Zealand, Spain, Israel and The Netherlands. The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that the virus can spread from person to person through coughing or sneezing and from human contact with pigs, but not through eating properly prepared and cooked pork products. For more information visit the World Health Organization at http://www.who.int.
PMI is proceeding with all of our May meetings including the Leadership Institute, EMEA Congress, SeminarsWorld® and all other related meetings in Amsterdam while carefully monitoring the H1N1 Influenza A situation. At this time, no countries have closed travel borders, although the WHO advises people who are ill to delay international travel. Please return to this site for updates.
