Welcome to ACAP

ACAP is a multilateral agreement which seeks to conserve albatrosses and petrels by coordinating international activity to mitigate known threats to their populations.  ACAP came into force in February 2004 and currently has 13 member countries and covers 31 species of albatrosses, petrels and shearwaters.  Read more about the Agreement here.

The Tenth Meeting of the Advisory Committee (AC10) will be held in Wellington, New Zealand from 11 to 15 September 2017.  Meetings of the Seabird Bycatch Working Group (SBWG8), and the Population and Conservation Status Working Group (PaCSWG4) will precede AC10, SBWG8 from 4 to 6 September, and PaCSWG4 from 7 to 8 September.
