Overview
Using ATVs or buggies (i.e. dogs with tracking devices), short wave radio communication and determination, the Florida Fish & Wildlife (FWC) Panther Project Team divides and sets out to catch and collar a Florida Panther. Panther Project scientists use information received from each panther's collar to study habitat selection, the genetic health of the species, and to monitor the population in order to ensure its continued recovery.
