Geography Awareness Week at USGS

The USGS strongly supports the national celebration of Geography Awareness Week, November 14-20, and this year’s theme: Freshwater. The “where” factor of geography integrates USGS studies in many fields of science, from our continuing development of The National Map to the correlation of land cover and water quality to place-based factors in human health.
