It took one "Cockadoodle-Doo" to bring Mindy Burbano into the Hollywood spotlight. Discovered by Oprah Winfrey while making animal calls as an audience member, Mindy found her true calling in the entertainment industry, leaving what she thought was a lifetime career as a dental hygienist. Over three hundred radio appearances later and a producer who took a risk on raw talent, Mindy was hired to host the highly rated Saginaw, Michigan radio program called Mike & Mindy in the Morning. Within six months the show was rated number one and then Mindy again changed addresses, this time to be on Hollywood’s red carpet reporting for television’s Entertainment Tonight.

The Emmy-nominated Burbano has made a successful career covering the world of entertainment for KTLA's award-winning News at Ten, and the KTLA Morning News. She remains loyal to her animal roots, as she has been seen on VH-1 Celebrity Pets I and II. Mindy has also appeared on Live With Regis and Kathie Lee, and The Jamie Kennedy Experiment and taken on acting roles in Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and 7th Heaven. Among films like Dickie Roberts; Former Child Star, and numerous independent film projects, Mindy also appeared in the popular Disney film The Princess Diaries, in a role that Director Gary Marshall wrote specifically for her.

Mindy’s popularity on and off the Red Carpet have earned her the prestigious Golden Mike Award, two Emmy nominations and a nomination for "Entertainment Reporter of the Year" by the Publicists Guild.

Mindy has now appeared six times on The Oprah Winfrey Show, as one of Oprah's "favorite guests", "The Best of Oprah", and "Rags to Riches."

Mindy has also lent her voice to various animated characters in the Disney television shows Handy Manny, Jojo’s Circus and narrated WE’s hit show Bridezillas for three seasons.

Mindy and her husband dabbled in the reality show world when they appeared together on TBS’ The Real Gilligan’s Island as the "Millionaire and his wife." Her husband Glenn won the game show competition and they matched and donated the prize money to charity.

Along with a busy career as a mother, stepmother, grandmother (yes grandmother), narrator, television personality and host, Mindy, along with her husband Glenn stay active in Philanthropy and founded the Stearns Family Charitable Foundation and the Live Changing Lives Gala which has become the premiere Charity Gala in Orange County raising close to $4 million in 4 years. Tammy Hotsenpiller
Conquering the Work-Life Balance: Discover, Define & Develop Your Life Plan

thumbnail

Tammy Hotsenpiller was born in St. Louis, Missouri. From an early age Tammy has had a passion for many things including travel, fashion and leadership. Not satisfied to have these simply as interests, Tammy instead has crafted a life that mirrors her passions and allows her to make a living pursuing them.

Tammy attended the University of Oxford in England, but has both traveled and studied extensively throughout Europe including not just England but Scotland, the Netherlands, France and Switzerland as well. A couple of places that had a major impact on Tammy while she lived there were the UK abroad and greater New York metropolitan area back in the states. Living in locales that are such meccas of cultural diversity has greatly enhanced Tammy’s understanding of people and their ways of life—from their customs to their clothes and even their cuisine. In fact, being surrounded by such a diverse set of people groups eventually culminated in Tammy wanting to share her experiences by writing Taste of Humanity. Taste of Humanity features great recipes, culture, trivia and customs from ten countries around the world. Tammy recently traveled to Ethiopia and India with a film crew to shoot a pilot for a television version of Taste of Humanity, as well as a documentary (under development) that included Dr. Rick Hodes, author, physician, humanitarian and subject of HBO’s Making The Crooked Straight. Tammy’s work in India includes the funding for a school in Jangaon built specifically for the Dalit scheduled castes, often referred to simply as "untouchables."

Besides being an author, Tammy is also a sought-after conference and seminar speaker. She has been the keynote of many workshops, seminars and church events sharing the platform with such names (and the unique personality behind each one) as Kenneth Blanchard, Zig Ziglar, and Gigi Graham. Tammy has also been a featured guest on many radio and television stations throughout the United States but hosts her very own show every Saturday on FM 99.5, KKLA radio. "TLC Radio" is fresh, relevant and practical talk for people looking to strengthen their walk with God. You can check out more about the show here.

When Tammy isn’t leading from behind the microphone, she has also led in an administrative role having served as the Executive Director for several non-profit organizations and the Director of Sales and Marketing for a major corporation. Currently, she is helping lead people along in their lives as President of Total Life Coach, L.L.C.: an innovative executive and corporate coaching company with an emphasis on work-life balance and personal reinvention. Not only does she help people along in their professional lives, but Tammy is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor. By balancing mind and body while ensuring clients are being fulfilled in their professional setting, she helps people find a holistic way to go about their lives and be satisfied with how they do so. Tammy is a graduate of Coach University and maintains an impressive list of clients both individual and corporate.

Coming full circle, Tammy’s skills and experience as a coach and trainer eventually led her to write her second book, Every Night Is A Friday Night. Every Night Is A Friday Night features life experiences related through compelling anecdotes, demonstrating the proven coaching techniques she has used with many Fortune 500 companies and the successes that followed suit. A pilot and treatment entitled Its Turn, based on Tammy’s successful coaching career and her book Every Night is a Friday Night, is also in the works. Its Turn brings the reality of the empty nest home with drama and stories of pain brought about by the experience, and how they can be turned into hope.

Most recently Tammy has turned her sights to working with Christians in the entertainment industry in and around Los Angeles. As a result she, with her husband Phil, is co-founder of Influence and {l.a.}god. Through these outreach programs Tammy helps the rising stars of the entertainment scene remain grounded in their walk with Jesus Christ and works to help make pop-culture a place where Christ’s message can be heard and thrive. Out of {l.a.}god budded {l.a.}godMusic: a label set to release its first album in December 2011.

Tammy is married to Phil Hotsenpiller (a successful pastor, author and executive in his own right). They live in Orange County, California and have three adult children, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
