Congratulations MMS Corporate Leadership Award (CORLA) Winners!

Each year, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) recognizes outstanding achievement by individuals who have contributed greatly to the success of our safety, pollution prevention, and conservation programs. These exceptional professionals receive MMS Corporate Leadership Awards.

This year’s CORLA recipients will be honored at the MMS Industry Awards Program in Houston, Texas on April 10, 2008.

Assistant Secretary C. Stephen Allred (L) and MMS Director Randall Luthi (R) presented the 2008 CORLA Awards to:

Ronald Christ, Apache Corporation for exceptional leadership in promoting safe operations and regulatory compliance by bringing aging infrastructures back up to working standards. A group CORLA award was presented to Daniel Alonso, Delmar Systems, Inc.; Ray Ayers, Stress Engineering Services; Mark Day, Devon Energy; Hongbo Shu, Shell; Jim Stear, Chevron; Sean Verret, Energo Engineering; John Stiff, ABS Consulting; and E.G. Ward, Offshore Technology Research Center for exceptional leadership in improving hurricane preparedness by acquiring and evaluating performance data, assessing risks, updating standards, and developing new operating procedures.
