Department of Homeland Security Announces $98 Million in Recovery Act Funding for Airport Security Technologies

Washington, D.C. - Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced approximately $98 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding for advanced technology (AT) X-ray units and inline baggage screening systems—enhancing the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) ongoing efforts to strengthen airport security while boosting the local economy.

Department of Homeland Security ANNOUNCES $23 MILLION IN RECOVERY ACT FUNDING FOR SECURITY TECHNOLOGY AT ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
 

WASHINGTON—Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced approximately $23 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding for an inline baggage screening system at Orlando International Airport (MCO)—enhancing the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) ongoing efforts to bolster airport security while boosting the local economy.

Department of Homeland Security Announces Additional Recovery Act-Funded Advanced Imaging Technology Deployments

Washington, D.C. - Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced the deployment of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)-funded advanced imaging technology (AIT) to 28 additional airports nationwide - strengthening security at airports throughout the nation while creating local jobs.
