     Cryptologia is the only scholarly journal in the world dealing with the history, the technology, and the effect of the most important form of intelligence in the world today – communications intelligence.  This refereed quarterly begain in 1977 devoted to all aspects of cryptology. Areas covered include computer security, history, codes and ciphers, mathematics, military science, espionage, cipher devices, literature, and ancient languages. Features include cryptologic book and material review, announcements, challenge ciphers, and more.  This journal was started by and maintained for many years by faculty in this department.
 
 
     Primus is a rich forum for the exchange of ideas in mathematics education at the college level. The journal is a refereed quarterly devoted to dialogue among those interested in teaching undergraduate mathematics. This includes those who prepare students for college level mathematics, those who teach college level mathematics, and those who receive students who have been taught college level mathematics.  This journal was created and maintained for many years by faculty in this department. 
 
     The journal motto, “The lightning spark of the thought generated in the solitary mind awakens in another mind . . .” by the Scottish essayist Thomas Carlyle means that publishing in PRIMUS is a way of sharing ideas so that others can use and build upon the author's efforts.
 
 
     Mathematica Militaris, in publication since 1989, serves as a forum for discussing issues concerning teaching mathematics at the five Federal Service Academies. It provides faculty at the academies a venue for sharing their views and experiences in mathematics education.  Contributions are always welcome.
