An Army National Guard recruit takes an eye exam at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).
Physical exams are a standard part of the enlistment process. Members of the Army National Guard must be healthy in order to succeed at Basic Combat Training (BCT), and for that reason, recruits undergo a complete physical exam while at MEPS.
