A Checkup at MEPS
Army National Guard

An Army National Guard recruit receives a physical at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). Those who join the Army National Guard go through the same process as those who join the active-duty Army. Before taking the Oath of Enlistment and going through Basic Combat Training (BCT), a recruit must go to MEPS, take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), receive a physical, consult with a career classifier and have a Pre-Enlistment Interview.
