ATF Arson Investigation Of Hereford House Restaurant Continues

Additional Surveillance Photograph Released and Reward Increased

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Kansas City Fire Department and the Kansas City Police Department announced they are increasing the reward to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the early morning fire on Oct. 20, 2008 occurring at the Hereford House Restaurant, 2 East 20th Street, Kansas City, Mo. In addition, another photograph of an individual taken from video surveillance cameras is being released.

ATF’s National Response Team (NRT), the Kansas City Police Bomb and Arson Unit and the Kansas City Fire Department, after a thorough examination of the scene and evidence recovery, determined that the fire was intentionally set. “The investigation is progressing due to the efforts of all the agencies involved,” said Michael Boxler, Special Agent in Charge of ATF’s Kansas City Division. “We are continuing to pursue ongoing leads and ask for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals in the photographs being released today.”
