Improper Payments Experience

The chart below* shows the improper payment experience for the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program for fiscal year (FY) 2008 through FY 2010. We calculate the underpayment rate by dividing underpayment dollars by dollars paid, and we calculate the overpayment rate by dividing overpayment dollars by dollars paid.
