"I'm looking forward to working closely with our new Director, Dr. Shirley Miles, in carrying out DoDEA's mission of highest student achievement," said Blewis.

Blewis is retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after serving in both the enlisted and officer ranks at the combat, headquarters, training and service support levels. His assignments include infantry and field artillery positions and as a Financial Manager, serving as a Budget Analyst, Fiscal Officer, Disbursing Officer, Assistant Comptroller, Comptroller, Budget Officer, and finally as the Commanding Officer of the Marine Corps Financial Management School.
