PEACHTREE CITY, GA — July 7, 2009 — Dr. Linda Curtis, Area Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for the Department of Defense (DoD) Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) and Department of Defense Dependents Schools, Cuba, (DoDDSCuba) announced today that Dr. Wanda Conway Bradley has
been named principal of Pierce Elementary School, at Fort Knox, in the Kentucky District.

Conway Bradley taught for five years before entering the administrative side of education. She was an assistant principal in the Biloxi (Ms.) School District. Then she became an administrator in the Gulfport School District, where she served as principal of Gaston Point Elementary School for five years.

“Dr. Conway Bradley brings a wealth of experience in educational administration to DoDEA,” said Mr. Todd Curkendall, Kentucky District’s Fort Knox Community Superintendent. “Her expertise as a former elementary teacher, principal and professor of adult education will serve our organization and community well.”

Conway Bradley, who has been a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, earned her bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Elementary Education from Tougaloo College (Miss.) and the University of Southern Mississippi. She holds her doctorate in Educational Leadership. She is the mother of two Krista, 9, and Myles, 7.
