TORII STATION, OKINAWA , JAPAN — May 7, 2009 — Dr. Nancy Bresell, Director, DoDDS - Pacific/DDESS-Guam is pleased to announce ViSIONS, an online display of exemplary videos produced by our high school students during this school year. Beginning May 18, students, teachers, and parents will be able to view student videos in one of several categories including public service announcements, daily news broadcasts, and documentaries via the school intranet.
ViSIONS is designed to promote the talents of secondary students, grades 7 – 12. However in this first year of implementation, participation will be limited to high school students enrolled in a video communications course.
“Our world demands immediate, clear and concise information. The 24-hour news cycle and constant stimuli drive this change and demand ongoing knowledge and experience. This means we must be responsive and lead our students to embrace multi-media opportunities through careful planning, insight and use of our resources,” said Bresell.
ViSIONS promos are currently running on the Pacific Area website.
