Maj. Gen. Bob D. DuLaney is Director of Air and Space Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He is the focal point for U.S. Air Forces in Europe's air and space operations, responsible for training, tactics, air and space control, air battle management, requirements and weather programs for U.S. European Command's air component. The general plans and conducts air and space operations in support of joint and combined exercises, simulations, joint task force training, and theater security cooperation.
General DuLaney was born in Dumas, Texas, and completed Texas Tech University's ROTC program as a distinguished graduate in 1973. He has commanded the U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons School's F-16 Division, an operations group, a combatant combined task force and a fighter wing. Prior to his current assignment, the general was Director of Plans, Headquarters North American Aerospace Defense Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
General DuLaney is a command pilot with more than 4,400 flying hours. As a combatant combined task force commander, he led more than 70 combat sorties during a period of increased hostilities over Iraqi territory, accumulating 353 combat hours.
