Brigadier General Kimberly A. Crider is the Mobilization Assistant to the Director, Communications and Information, and Chief Information Officer, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. She assists in organizing, training, and equipping the Air Force's space and cyber forces with communications and information capability, including the Air Force's new cyber numbered air force supporting U.S. Strategic Command.

General Crider was commissioned through the ROTC program at Duke University in May 1986. She served on Active Duty for 8 years and has been a Reservist for 18 years, having held positions in Air Force Space Command, Air Force Materiel Command, Air Education and Training Command, Pacific Air Forces Command, United States Air Forces Europe, Headquarters Air Force, Air and Space ISR Center and the Defense Information Systems Agency. In her previous assignment, General Crider was the Chief, Cyber Superiority Strategic Plans, HQ USAF and was responsible for forging future AF cyber superiority core function master plan development and wargaming. General Crider is a master communications officer and a senior acquisition officer.

In her civilian capacity, General Crider was the former Director of Engineering for the Electronic Systems Center, 753 ELSG, Cyber Integration Group at Hanscom AFB, Mass., and is a senior systems engineer for a major research and development corporation in Bedford, Mass. She has led numerous large scale systems engineering projects for multibillion dollar programs providing capabilities for Air Force network management and defense, airborne network integration and air operations center command and control.
