Description:

The Department of Commerce Bronze Medal Award is the highest honorary award granted by the NIST Director.  A Bronze Medal is defined as superior performance characterized by outstanding or significant contributions which have increased the efficiency and effectiveness of NIST.

Citation:

Drs. Elliott, Halter, and Plant, along with a team of NIST Scientists, received the Department of Commerce Bronze Medal Award for advancing the accuracy of measurements for cell biology through metrics for assessing object segmentation and technologies for live cell tracking.
