Be A Junior Ranger

Devils Postpile Junior Ranger Book

Devils Postpile's Junior Ranger book

During the summer months, kids can come to the monument's ranger station where a park ranger will give them a free Junior Ranger book to complete.

All kinds of fun and interesting activities can be found within the pages of these Junior Ranger booklets, including drawing, word scrambles, puzzles, and writing exercises. During the summer, park rangers are always available to lend a helping hand with these activities.

Upon completion of the booklet, kids get to take the Junior Ranger oath with a real park ranger! Once sworn in, they receive an official Junior Ranger badge and certificate.

Didn't get to complete the Junior Ranger program while you were here? Send in your booklet and we'll send you your free badge and signed certificate! Click here for our address.

The area now known as Devils Postpile National Monument used to be part of Yosemite National Park.  In 1905, the Devils Postpile formation, Rainbow Falls, and the Minarets were removed from Yosemite's boundaries due to pressure from mining interests.
