PEACHTREE CITY, GA — July 21, 2006 — Dr. Elaine Beraza, Director, Department of Defense (DoD) Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) and Department of Defense Dependents Schools, Cuba, (DoDDS-Cuba) announced today that Mr. Time Howle has been named principal of Fort Bragg's McNair Elementary School in the North Carolina District.

Howle most recently served as assistant principal of Albritton Junior High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from Francis Marion University, Florence, SC, his master's in International Relations from Troy State University, Troy, Ala., and both his master's in Special Education and his administrative certification from Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville, NC.

Howle retired from the US Army as a major in 1998 after 25 years of service. He began his teaching career at 71st High School, Fayetteville, in 1998, and joined DDESS as a special education teacher at McNair Elementary in 1999. He served as assistant principal at Irwin Intermediate School and Albritton for four years prior to his promotion. He and his wife, Rhoda, have four children, two of whom attended McNair Elementary School.
