Civilian Conservation Corps Reunion at CT CCC Museum in Stafford Spring
  Family and friends are invited to a Civilian Conservation Corps alumni reunion on Sunday, September 23 at 1:00 pm at the Connecticut Civilian Conservation Corps Museum located at 166 Chestnut Hill Road (Route 190) 3-miles west of Stafford Springs.

DEEP Celebrates National Hunting & Fishing Day in Connecticut
  The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), in conjunction with the Friends of Sessions Woods, is celebrating National Hunting and Fishing Day on Saturday, September 22, at the Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area and Education Center in Burlington. This FREE event will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and feature many outdoor-related activities and demonstrations.

DEEP Shoots and Kills Bear in Hartford
  The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today shot and killed a black bear in Keney Park in Hartford that had demonstrated aggressive behavior toward humans earlier in the summer elsewhere in the state.
