ENERGY STAR periodically hosts meetings for partners and industry to gather to discuss new program initiatives, product specifications or other outreach activities. In addition, these meetings offer ENERGY STAR partners the opportunity to network with others to develop relationships and collaborations to promote ENERGY STAR.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is pleased to announce the 2012 ENERGY STAR Products Partner Meeting in St. Paul, Minnesota, October 22–24, 2012.

2012 ENERGY STAR PRODUCTS PARTNER MEETING

Date: October 22–24, 2012
The 2012 meeting will be held over three days, and as in past years will be a combined meeting covering ENERGY STAR lighting, appliances, water heaters, electronics, and other topics. The meeting will also provide opportunities to interact with a range of program stakeholders in various formats, including independent one–on–one meetings.
EPA would like to provide you with the following updates and reminders about the 2012 ENERGY STAR Products Partner Meeting:
1. MEETING AGENDA
Attached please find an updated agenda 
(752KB) and agenda companion document (424KB) with detailed session descriptions. As you plan your schedule, please note those sessions labeled as “plenary” and “cross track” which will be of interest to all partners.
EPA recognizes the value ENERGY STAR partners place on in–person networking and collaboration opportunities at the meeting. As in past years, a limited number of rooms will be offered to facilitate such interactions. For information on scheduling a private meeting room, please see the attached One-on-One Networking Session Guidelines (4.54MB).
2. SLEEPING ROOM CUT–OFF REMINDER
If you haven’t already done so, please book your hotel accommodations as soon as possible.
Cut–off date:
The hotel cut–off date for reserving rooms is September 24, 2012. Rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis so please make your arrangements as soon as possible.

- Sleeping room rates: $121/night for single/double, plus all applicable state and local taxes. The hotel has graciously extended this government lodging rate to all meeting participants. This rate will also be available 3 days prior and 3 days after the event, subject to availability at the time of reservation.
3. GREEN MEETINGS AND MEETING MATERIALS
EPA invites partners to join the effort to reduce the level of resources associated with this meeting by opting to go paperless!
In a departure from past years, all meeting materials will be provided in electronic format, with the exception of the meeting agenda, which will still be provided to all attendees on-site.
Meeting materials will be emailed to registered attendees by mid–October, so you can print only those materials you feel to be most critical, and reduce unnecessary printing, shipping, and waste.
EPA will also offer a Smartphone–friendly meeting application for a short period prior to and during the meeting. This application will provide easy access to key meeting materials–such as the agenda, the agenda companion piece that provides details about each session, the hotel map, and more—from Android and Apple—based devices.
During the registration process, you will be prompted to indicate your preferences with regard to printed materials. Information on how to download the mobile app will be sent to registrants closer to the meeting date.
