Princess House is a transitional living program for women in the final stages of reentry. This means that the women have largely completed typical post prison programming such as outpatient or residential substance abuse treatment.

These women are typically in need of basic transitional living services such as a place to live while they find work, enroll in school, and save money or get on public assistance to help them transition to their own independent living situation.

The program is 6-12 months. Residents participate in life skill groups, parenting skills class, take advantage of job referral services, and participate in Parole and Community (PAC) meeting where agencies in the community advise parolees of what services they offer.

Started in 2007

Who is helped?

Women on parole, women in the final stages of reentry, women no longer in need of intensive substance abuse treatment.

Capacity: Six women any given time.
