The DOJ Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties has released several documents used in the Department’s privacy compliance process. The Initial Privacy Assessment is used to determine whether a SORN, PIA, or other privacy documents are required. The DOJ Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties released Official Guidance to use in drafting Privacy Impact Assessments and a template for drafting PIAs in August 2010.
