Dr. Steve Holve, a Captain in the United States Public Health Service, is the Chief Clinical Consultant in Pediatrics for the Indian Health Service. Dr. Holve has spent a career in clinical pediatrics on the Navajo Nation in the Southwest. His areas of expertise include desert envenomations, heritable illnesses in Native Americans and pediatric oral health. As Chief Clinical Consultant he has an interest in sharing “what works best” in different pediatric clinics and wards across the Indian Health Service. He looks forward to recruiting students and residents to the Indian Health Service, a medical setting in which one can practice a full range of public health, ambulatory, hospital and neonatal pediatrics.Dr. Holve welcomes the chance for discussion and collaboration on child health issues.
