Changes in Electric Power Annual (EPA) 2010:

The EPA 2010 is being published in a more limited set of formats, reflecting budget limitations and a transition to a new production method. Specific changes include:

  • The EPA 2010 will be a compilation of Excel and PDF files for each individual table. HTML tables will not be available, at least for the time being.
  • No single traditional report (that included front matter and summary text) will be published.
  • Because of the transition to the new production method the appearance of the tables is less uniform.
  • Several of the tables covering power system characteristics and reliability use a new combination of the North American Electric Reliability Corp. (NERC) regional entities to create aggregates that are comparable over time. Specifically, the data for SPP, ReliabilityFirst, MRO, and SERC are combined to produce a "Balance of Eastern Interconnection" group with fixed boundaries.
